What is the EUSDC?

Set up to 100 years in the future, the European Space Design Competition (EUSDC) is an exhilarating space settlement design challenge structured as a simulation of life in industry. Up to 200 individuals transform into company representatives competing in companies of up to 50 for a lucrative contract offered by the Foundation Society. Through the realm of space, the EUSDC aims to inspire and expose participants to the vast potential of future study, or even a career, in STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, & Mathematics). The EUSDC is free-to-enter and open to all aged 15-18 living in European countries.

Engineering

The art of applying the sciences to solve genuine space engineering problems. Put your technical knowledge to the test as you get challenged to address the complex and interdependent structural, operational, and automation engineering tasks of the Request-for-Proposal.

Sciences

Design methods to keep humans healthy (physiologically & psychologically) in the hostile environments of space or the surface of other worlds. Deriving integrated solutions with the natural environment will invoke your creativity as you leverage the teachings of science.

Business & Management

Work within or manage your company of up to 50 dynamic, dedicated, and like-minded individuals as you endeavour to produce and present your designs. With only 50 slides and 35 minutes to showcase 36 hours of hard work, do you have what it takes to satisfy the Foundation Society?
